A successful Painting Exhibition was held over the 2010 Easter weekend by the Bateau Bay Artists.

The painting group, formed eleven years ago, has become well known in the Central Coast area. Their annual Exhibition is always held over the Easter weekend at the Bateay Bay Community Hall.

The sunny weather this year attracted many visitors, a record number. While most were from the Central Coast, many were holiday makers, looking to take home a reminder of an enjoyable stay. It was pleasing to see past visitors and buyers coming again to renew acquaintances and talk about the paintings.

This year the group accepted two new exhibiting artists who, pleasing to say, made sales along with the rest of the group.

More paintings were sold this year than any past year. A great majority were scenes of the local area, especially seascapes of Bateau Bay and surrounding beaches. Other paintings purchased were floral works, country and bush scenes, and local old cottages. Some artists accepted commissions for further works.

All the exhibiting artists wish to thank those who came to the Exhibition and who made this year, 2010, such an enjoyable one.
